Summer in Metro Detroit means the long-awaited return of food trucks! Whether you’re a passionate foodie seeking unique flavors or a busy professional in need of a quick and satisfying meal, these mobile kitchens bring gourmet cuisine to the streets. In Metro Detroit, we are fortunate to have some incredible food trucks rolling around. Many of these have been area staples with a packed schedule. Whether you’re a food truck pro or new to the scene, you’ll want to add stopping at these popular food trucks to your summer calendar.

HERO OR VILLAIN

22965 Woodward Avenue, Ferndale

Hero or Villain serves gourmet sandwiches and wraps, aptly named after iconic heroes and villains. Available for private events and popular gatherings throughout the season, this truck is a must-try. With sandwiches like the Thor (turkey, bacon, cheddar, and more on grilled sourdough) to Kingpin (chicken, mozzarella, and pesto), there is something for everyone. Pair these with the Wookie waffle fries or loaded Bowcaster ones with feta, giardiniera, and sriracha mayo. With two food trucks, Hero or Villain is all over the place, with a calendar full of events for you to pop up at. Craving a delicious sandwich outside of these dates? Head over to their brick-and-mortar spot in Ferndale.
